Danny has made a career out of invention and self determination. Always looking to some horizon, and always embracing a steep learning curve, he has redefined himself again and again.

Danny has made a career out of invention and self determination. Always looking to some horizon, and always embracing a steep learning curve, he has redefined himself again and again.
Even in his teenage years, music and high fidelity were already becoming his world view. From being enthralled with hi-fi gear to designing his own speakers, the pursuit of good music and high fidelity became fundamental. Danny spent his early twenties on the road with rock band, Indecision, from Charlottesville Virginia. He knows well the challenges of aspiring musicians.
When the road had been enough, Danny was hired as a producer in the Music Channel at America Online, where he first worked with Thea Wood. As a self taught coder, and some real experience in "life on the road," Danny brought unique skills which were a perfect match to the role. He quickly became known for his creative technical thinking, and his ability to solve unsolvable problems.
But before he launched his career at AOL, Danny spent time examining virtual reality, such as it was at the time. He participated as an informal student at VCU's VR lab, working on spatial audio implementation. He visited university labs with PhD students in VR, and met with an incubating company with a medical application headset, in an all out effort to see the state of the art. He also tried every VR demo available at the time. He was hooked on VR. But it wasn't time.
Yet.
Now re-engaged with virtual reality, Danny brings long simmering ideas together with technology much more capable than could have been imagined in his first encounter with VR. He designed a unique approach to live music in VR, which has been in development for several years, while simultaneously running live music performances to live audiences.
Danny earned his degree in economics from the University of Virginia in 1993.

Thea conceived and managed the first AOL Online Music Awards, managed their music message boards hosted chatroom interviews with celebrities, and hooked the first sponsored exclusive content; published SheSpark, a style, beauty, and wellness magazine; and published The Intentional Makeover, an e-book that earned her the premier speaker slot for TEDx UTAustin. In 2019, she launched Herizon Music: The Newsletter & Podcast, spotlighting women in music and the issues that affect them and their fans.
